Importance of good well design

A poorly designed well can lead to all sorts of problems, from water quality issues to inefficient pumping. After years of working in groundwater management, I can’t stress enough the importance of conducting a thorough geological survey before drilling. It might seem like an extra step, but it can save you a lot of headaches down the line.

I totally get that! We had a situation last year where we skipped the geological survey and ended up with a well that was all over the place. That extra step is so worth it for avoiding future headaches, not to mention costs.

, I can relate to that. We once rushed into a well project without a thorough geological survey and faced major water quality issues — definitely didn’t save us any headaches! It’s not just a formality; it can really make or break the project.
